bhakta rajasayas tatha
anityam asukham lokam
imam prapya, bhajasva mam
Bhagavad Gita : Chapter 9, verse 33
‘Anityam asukham lokam imam prapya, bhajasva mam’ - that is the command. Having come into this uneternal, unhappy world, adore Me, in order to save yourself’. How can the body escape disease and death? How can the mind escape agitation and anxiety? (SSS Vol.7, p. 214)
The Lord’s command is that each should pursue the special Dharma laid down for him, each person should plan his life according to the spiritual foundation of his culture, he should give up the ‘objective’ vision and listen to the Voice of God. (GV, p. 9)
The mind wills, yearns, prompts and insists on effort and action. This process is named Sankalpa. These are like Shasanas (commands). (SSS Vol.19, p. 99)
Swami’s command is more important and significant than Swami Himself. (NNSG Vol.5, p. 187)
