If there is a wick and oil, the lamp will continue so long as the wick is there and so long as the oil is there. These three components are called Karma, Akarma and Vikarma. Karma here stands for the wick and Vikarma stands for the oil and if the wick and the oil are there, we can get the Jyoti but if either of them is exhausted the Jyoti would disappear and the disappearance of Jyoti is called akarma, the disappearance of all action.
