All conclusions drawn from the Prasthanatrayi are genuine and deserve the name of Vedanta. The conclusion is that caste, social status, family and even religion are determined by Guna and Karma. They are not amenable to human manipulation. The Vedas declare so; they posit that it has been so decided by Divine will. (SV, p. 12)

When both Karma and Upasana are practised, regardless of the fruits thereof, they promote renunciation and non-attachment. This is the conclusion arrived at by the First Prasna. (Prasnoparishad). (UV, p. 41)
