Destination

The body is like a boat. Our life is like a river and we have to cross that river and reach our destination. Our destination is the destination of Divinity. Our life, the present one, is one of living in the contemporary world. In the process of our trying to cross the river of life and reach the destination of Divinity, the boat that we have to use, namely our body has to be safeguarded and taken great care of. This boat should not develop leakages en route.(SSB 1972, p. 9) Viveka and Vairagya are the two bunds which tame the mad energy of the flood and lead the raging waters into the sea, which is, after all, the destination they seek.(SSB 1972, p. 9) ‘Direct the engine of life driven by the steam of Prema on the two parallel rails of Satya and dharma, to reach the destination, Shanti.’(Uniq, p. 187) Man has to concentrate on his true destination. What is this destination, the goal and the aim of life? The Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad Gita have made this clear. Our destination is the source from which we came. (SSS Vol.16, pp. 28-29) Be born in love; love in love. That is to say, emerge from God and merge in God; be the wave on the ocean of love. You should not die; you should merge and fulfill your self. That is destiny; that is the destination.(WLMG, p. 198)
