This created world that we see is ephemeral. Yad drishyam tan nasyam (whatever is seen, is bound to decay with time). Wealth and youth are also transient. Transient again is all the wife and children. Ephemeral again is all the charity and progeny. Truth and one’s reputation are the only two, which are permanent. (DTB Vol.4, p. 1)
