Riches of various kinds, possessions and power, name and fame - these are not of much worth; the richness of Love, the precious possession called Love, this is the very breath of life for man. A heart devoid of Love is an altar plunged into darkness The bats of evil passions will make it their home. They will render it a dirty stinking seat of chaos. The Light of Love can illumine the heart and drive away these vicious inhabitants. (SSSm Vol.2, p. 285)

The Divine Master illumines the entire cosmos and the cosmos shines in the Divine. God and the cosmos are inseparable friends. This is the prime dictum of Sai. (SSS Vol.25, p. 8)

There are three kinds of light. The lamp in a house illumines only the house. The moon at night gives his light to the world, although it is a dim light. But the sun who illumines the day sheds his effulgence everywhere. The light that burns inside a home is comparable to svartham (self-interest). The light of the sun is Yathartham, the effulgence of Truth. Truth is God. The sun who illumines everything is verily God. For this reason, from early times Bharatiyas were worshippers of the Sun God. They offered Suryanamaskar (salutations to the Sun). They regarded the Sun as the visible manifestation of God.

Thus, what people need today is moonlight at night, sunlight during the day, and the light of Dharma, which illumines all the three worlds, and a good son who is the beacon-light for the family. (SSS Vol.29, pp. 170-171)
