Veda is the source for business, education, employment, cultivation, etc. For instance, Bibimbi, a branch of mathematics originated from Rig-Veda. This was the source of the Arithmetic, which contained numbers ranging from 1 to 18. Subsequently during the era of Raja Raja Narendra, geometry commenced, which started using certain instruments for mathematical drawings. Later algebra (jyoti ganita) came into existence. A combination of these branches i.e. Arithmetic, Geometry, and Algebra resulted in yet another branch known as town planning (Lilavati Ganita). The modern M.Tech programme is a development of the combination of the aforesaid four branches of mathematics. (M, p. 92)
