The root causes of man’s bondage are Abhimana and Ahamkara, the possessive sense of ‘Mine,’ and the arrogance of egoism. When one gets rid of the feelings of ‘I’ and ‘Mine’ he will realise his true Self.(SSS Vol.23, p. 63)
