Nara is Narayana. Man is God. Every single act of man has to be elevated as an act of service to God. But students today do not know exactly what Narayana and Nara are. How can a person claim to be educated when he cannot identify the Nara Narayana Principle? They are the entities denoted by the Upanishads as ‘tvam’ and ‘tat’, ‘you’ and ‘that’. (V Vahini, p. 70)

Today, if people are taught that human nature is quite different from divine nature, man is simply creating these differences; and since he has not got the discriminating power, he believes them to be different. Man is God, nara is Narayana, people are Divine. Some day or other, it is inevitable that nara will become Narayana and Narayana will come as an Avatar and will become nara. In that confluence of nara and Narayana is the manifestation of all creation. (SSB 1977, p. 199)
