Saraswati is also called Pavaka. You can remove your ignorance if you listen to Saraswati. Therefore, Saraswati has the capacity to remove ignorance through the process of listening. Because of her capacity to remove ignorance and give Prajnana, Saraswati has been called Pavaka’. She has also been called by the sacred name, Pavana. Pavana means breeze, or air. Air takes the form of life in every individual. (SSB 1974, p. 192)
