Kabir proclaimed ‘Dil me Ram, hath me Kam’. (SSB 1974, p. 265)
All the scriptures that are revered in all lands and climes proclaim that love alone prevails, detachment alone is the lasting wealth, unity alone is the truth, God alone is the goal. (SSS Vol.5, p. 70)
Unless we become doers, deeds do not emanate. ‘Na jati icchati jetate’ says an axiom in the Nyaya shastra. ‘As one knows, so one wishes; as one wishes, so one acts’. The Vedanta Sutras also proclaim the same truth. ‘Yad dhyati, tad icchati’ (That on which attention rests, that is the thing wished for). ‘Yad icchati, tad karoti’ (That on which the wish rests, that is the thing for which deeds are done). ‘Yad Karoti, tad Bhavati’ (That for which deeds are done, that is what he becomes). (SSVahini, p. 135)
The sacred scriptures of this land (Sruti) loudly proclaim that the individual is the architect of his own fate, high or low status in society, luxury or poverty, liberty or bondage.
‘yatha-kratur-asmin-loke puruso bhavati
tathetah pretya bhavati, sa kratum kurvita
(Chandogya Upanishad - 3.14.1)
Whatever form the person craves for now while alive in this world, that form he attains after death’: Sruti declares thus. (SSVahini, p. 127)
Proclaim with raised hands that caste and credal divisions should go;
Speak out repeatedly that service to the weak is Divine;
Meditation on the Lord’s name will lead man to the Lord’s abode
And confer immortality on him.
Declare that all men of devotion and faith are your kith and kin.
Those who teach this wisdom to the people are dearest to the Lord
Getting rid of feelings of differences, if you live in love and harmony,
That alone will delight Sai
What more can I tell you,
Oh good people, assembled here?
