Those who know the secret of the physical and the mystery of the spiritual, such alone can be called Pundits. (GV, p. 25)
Only he is entitled to be called a Pundit, who has seen clearly the distinction between Karma and akarma. If he has only stored in his head the matter contained in books, he is not a Pundit. The Pundit should have an intellect, which grants the vision of the Truth, Samyag Darshana. When that vision is gained, all karma becomes in effective and harmless. The fire of Jnana has the power to consume and burn Karma. (GV, p. 77)
