It is more useful for the student to search for his own faults, with a view to removing them than to seek excellences so that he might exult over them. A student who does this can progress fast; he is not dragged behind by fear or anxiety; he can move on, with faith in the Lord on whom he has placed all his burdens. He reaches a state of mental calm, which is the sign of the true aspirant. Arjuna arrived at that stage and then Krishna gave him (and, through him, to all mankind) the teaching that confers Immortality. (GV, p.18)

This life has been given to you to search and search for God. You have been given eyes and vision to help you to see the Supreme One, the Omnipotent Divinity. The legs are given to enable you to perform puja with flowers to the Lord You have been provided with intelligence so that you may realise that all you see around is a very temporary and transient phenomenon. You have been given a mouth to sing the glory of the Lord. Ears have beer given to you to listen to songs relating to the Glory of God. You have been given the body for doing good to other human beings. You should put into practice the principles and codes of conduct and surrender your ego at the Lotus Feet of God residing in the heart. (SSVahini, p. 17)

All men are caskets containing Divine Glory. All Energy, Power and intelligence are in you; you need not search for these outside yourselves. God who is manifesting as Time, Space and Causation is in you; why then do you feel weak and helpless? Every individual is a spark of the effulgence of God; God is dancing in every cell of every being. Do not doubt this, or ignore this, or dispute this. This is the Truth; this is the entire Truth; this is the only Truth. The Universe is God. All this is He, His Body. (SSS Vol.9 & 12)
