Zoroastrianism

Zoroaster, the founder of the Parsi religion wanted that Man should ever have the Fire of Wisdom Blazing in His Consciousness, so that evil thoughts and tendencies might be reduced to ashes. (FDD, pp. Z-2)

Zoroaster is the founder of Zoroastrianism, the ancient religion of the Persians. His preaching centred around the fire - God. Every object created by God – animate or inanimate – has its ultimate destination of being consumed by fire to ashes. So is the human body, which is no exception: The inner meaning is that the worldly desires have to be destroyed to ashes by the spiritual knowledge of Jnana. He was therefore, preaching that sacred fire should glow in your heart, ready to turn to ashes all undesired ideas and thoughts. The constant divine glow in your heart should be radiating its splendour in you and around you. (OGYM, p. 11)

Zoroastrianism, the Parsi religion, was founded by Zoroaster, who wanted the man should ever have Fire of Wisdom blazing in his consciousness, so that evil thoughts and tendencies might be reduced to ashes. It has to infuse all thoughts, words and deeds with the illumination of virtue and vigour. It must destroy all worldly desire and render man pure for entry into heaven of freedom. Adoration, meditation and acts of selfless service are essential for the dawn of Enlightenment ( (SSS Vol. 10, p. 65)

Zoroastrianism, it is said, ‘l am in the Light, the Light is in Me, and finally I am the light.’ (SSS Vol.31, p. 260)
