Mistake

Believing that the Body is all, and that here is no entity embodied in it - this is mistake No. 1. Ignoring or forgetting that there can be no wave without the ocean, no body without the Atma, is mistake No. 2. (SSS Vol.8, p. 130)

Every person is apt to commit mistakes, without being aware of it. However bright the fire or light, some smoke will emanate from it. So also, whatever, good deed a man might do, there will be mixed with it a minute trace of evil. But, efforts should be made to ensure that the evil is minimised, that the good is more and bad is less. Of course, in the present atmosphere, you may not succeed in the very first attempt. You must carefully think over the consequences of whatever you do, talk, or execute. (SSS Vol.18, pp. 119-120)

The Atma is the basis of all experiences.... When man forgets this Atma principle, which is the basis of every thing and believes in the body, mind, senses and intellect, he is then subject to ignorance. It is sheer ignorance to say that you are a human being and thus you make mistakes. Man should not commit mistakes either knowingly or unknowingly. If mistakes are committed, one should repent and take care that these mistakes are not repeated. (LIC, p. 10)
