The discovery of Truth - that is the unique mission of Man. Man is a mixture of Maya and Madhava; the Maya throws a mist which hides the Madhava; but through the action of the healthy impulses inherited from acts performed while in previous bodies or through the cleansing done by austerities in this body or through the Grace of the Lord Himself, Maya melts away; for it is a just mist which flees before the Sun. Then Nara is transformed into Narayana. The illumination of Viveka will remove the darkness, which hides the Divine essence of Man. (SSS Vol.2, pp. 160-161)
My Mission is fourfold. Veda poshana, Vidwat poshana, Bhakta rakshana and Dharma rakshana . (SBA, p. 14)
Despite our rigourous discipline, industrialists and businessmen want to come here. Why? Because they secure peace of mind beyond physical comfort which no wealth or power on earth can purchase or provide. Thus we open to them wonderful new world of spiritual treasures and they must sacrifice material wants and comforts. My mission is to show them the way to the peace of mind, which everybody, poor and rich alike, desires. In that process spiritual evolution, the seeker learns that this blissful state cannot be purchased for money in a shop or gifted to one by anybody but oneself. It can come only from the universal source of divinity, the in-dwelling God that embraces poor and rich alike.
The concept creates a common fellowship, a brotherhood of give and take between the wealthy and the poor, those who have too much are obliged to give up their unnecessary wants, while those who have too little get their needs fulfilled. After all, in spiritual terms, all mankind belongs to one and the same class, caste or religion. The divine principles in each and all of them derive from one and the same God. The fundamental oneness has to be made manifest to them through direct contact with spiritual realities and the persuasive expanding power of love, till they become part of the Universal religion of work, worship and wisdom. ‘The first sixteen years of My life have been, as I often told you, the period when Bala-leelas (sportive or prankish miracles) predominated; the next sixteen years being spent mostly in Mahimas (mighty or great miracles) in order to give Santosha (joy) to this generation. After the thirty second year, you will see Me active more and more in the task of Upadesa or teaching the erring humanity and in directing the world along the path of Satya,Dharma, Shanti and Prema.’ (Uniq, p. 27)
Your mission has begun. These are My words to you, My devotees. Each of you has a unique and valuable part of play in this lifetime. Only those whom I have called can serve Me. The multiplication of My Love will be felt throughout the world. I have prepared you for this work over many incarnations. I have drawn you to Me. I have made great steps in My mission over these past incarnations. My work is ceaseless and so your work too, is without end. Know that I am within you and without you. There is no difference. Rid yourself of petty matters forever more. You are Me and I am Thee. There is no difference.
My Darshan will pour forth Me to and through you. You may be unaware of this constant action. Be ever pure of heart and soul and mankind, in your lifetime, will benefit from your unique quality. Others too, will join Me in this mission when I draw them to Me.
The time is approaching when all humanity will live in harmony. That time will be here sooner than one expects. Before it arises, be prepared for whatever is needed to reveal to every living thing, the true purpose of existence. It is not what anyone can imagine. It is something that one can try to aspire for. It is beyond all comprehension. I can say that its beauty is magnificent beyond all dreams. As each one of you performs your silent work, I will embrace you to My heart and henceforth your souls shall be lifted up and your eyes will reveal My presence within. This I say to all My devotees from the Lord’s mountaintop where all the universe becomes one. Be about My work, My beloved devotees! Your breath, the scent of the blossom of heaven. Your example will be that of angels. Your joy will be my joy. (M, pp. 275-277)
