There are two methods of spiritual progress, namely, the ‘Vidhvamsaka Marga’, or the destructive path, and the ‘Vidhayaka Marga’ or the constructive path. (SSB 1979, p. 106)

God tests people in many ways. They are intended only to promote your spiritual progress. None can affect God in any way. Why lose your faith in Him? They are signs of weakness. Give no room for such unfortunate doubts. Strengthen your faith and realise God by your devotion. (SSS Vol.26, p. 300)

Spiritual progress is not merely intellectual exercise; it is right living, good conduct, moral behaviour. These characteristics are automatic consequences of belief in a good, just, compassionate God, who is watching and witnessing every act. (DD on 28-12-2002)
